Blockboard

In partnership with SWL Tischlerplatten GmbH in Germany, Merton A/S offers a comprehensive range of versatile blockboard, lightweight blockboard and sandwich panels – we offer everything from classic blockboard to fire-retardant lightweight furniture board.

Blockboard – with a fully-bonded 30 mm crossband core of spruce, pine and poplar and a surface layer. Plywood blockboard has a fully-bonded and peeled 5 mm crossband core of spruce and poplar and a surface layer. The upright growth rings create a strong and homogeneous surface. In lightweight blockboard or plywood blockboard the core material is finger-jointed strips/peeled albasia bonded to a surface layer.
